United StatesIt's all about the spoon!
For those who don't immediately recognize it, this is a caviar spoon. I love caviar, and I love this spoon. Here's why: My wife has dry hands, so I ordered her some of the Squalane + Omega Repair cream to try. She's a bit of a tomboy, and she makes me apply it to the backs of her hands every night. The cream works great, and I already wrote a five-star review for that product. But along with the little jar of skin cream, they sent this little copper caviar spoon. Turns out, this little spoon is the PERFECT tool to measure out JUST the right amount of the skin cream to use. Squalane products spread very easily, and you do not need to use very much of the cream AT ALL for a single application. It is VERY easy to over-apply! But, all you have to do is scoop with the bowl of the little spoon and press the edge of the bowl against the curved sides of the jar to round off the top. That little spoonful is the perfect amount to use for a face or the backs of two hands. I'm a big guy. Caviar spoons are little. They are ordinarily carved from mother of pearl, but really any material other than silver is acceptable. (Silver tarnish was thought to spoil the flavor of black caviar.) I have several mother of pearl caviar spoons, and they are all far too light and flimsy for me to use without fumbling around. The Biossance spoon seems to be made either from solid copper or from steel with a copper plating. The extra weight is perfect; it makes the spoon easier to handle. After my wife runs out of the cream, I'm definitely keeping the little spoon and using it the next time I serve caviar. And, I'm thinking about continuing to order new spoons each time I re-order the skin cream, so I can collect a whole set. Anyway, great product!
